Privacy Policy
ROASTINGIFT is operated by Gifts Worth Buying LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“ROASTINGIFT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit roastingift.com, create or purchase a personalized roast, access a ROASTINGIFT gift experience, contact us, or otherwise use our services. Because ROASTINGIFT creates personalized gifts, customers may provide information not only about themselves but also about the recipient of a roast and other people mentioned in their submissions. By using ROASTINGIFT, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including: your name and email address; order and transaction-related information; information entered into our personalization questionnaire; the recipient's name; your relationship to the recipient; stories, memories, anecdotes, characteristics, preferences, habits, phrases, and other information you choose to provide; selected roast intensity or creative preferences; topics or information you identify as off-limits; revision instructions and other production-related communications; support messages, order references, and other information you provide when contacting us.
Because the service is personalized, some of this information may concern people other than the purchaser. Payment and checkout information may be processed through Shopify, SamCart, and applicable payment processors or other payment providers used in connection with our services. ROASTINGIFT does not need to receive or store your complete payment-card number.
We may also automatically receive limited technical information when you use the service, such as IP address, device and browser information, approximate location derived from technical information, request logs, security information, and other data reasonably necessary to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and maintain the service.
When you purchase through a SamCart checkout, information necessary to complete and administer the transaction may be provided to SamCart and the payment processors or other providers integrated with that checkout. This may include information such as your name, email address, billing or transaction information, and information necessary to process or verify the purchase.
Information About Other People
When you provide information about a roast recipient or another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide and use that information for the requested personalized gift.
You should not submit information about another person where doing so would violate applicable law, confidentiality obligations, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights. Please do not submit highly sensitive or confidential information that is unnecessary to create the personalized roast.
How We Use Information
We may use personal information to: create, write, produce, review, revise, and deliver your personalized roast; process and administer your order; provide and maintain your private gift experience; communicate with you about production, delivery, revisions, and service updates; respond to customer-service and support requests; associate support requests with the correct order where appropriate; prevent fraud, abuse, spam, unauthorized access, and security incidents; operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the service; enforce our Terms and policies; comply with accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not use private questionnaire stories or personalized roast content as public marketing examples without permission.
Personalized Content and AI-Assisted Production
ROASTINGIFT may use a combination of human creative work, software tools, automated technologies, and artificial-intelligence-assisted technologies as part of writing, editing, producing, reviewing, or delivering personalized content.
Information you submit may therefore be processed by technology providers used to perform those functions when reasonably necessary to create or deliver your order. We do not need to provide every service provider with every piece of information you submit. We aim to use information reasonably necessary for the applicable production function.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may disclose personal information to service providers that help us operate ROASTINGIFT, including providers involved in: ecommerce, checkout, payments, and order administration; application hosting, databases, and file storage; transactional and support email; domain, network, fraud-prevention, and security services; personalized-content and audio production; technical infrastructure and service operation.
Examples of providers currently used in operating parts of the service include Shopify, SamCart, Resend, Cloudflare, payment processors, and technology providers used in ROASTINGIFT's production infrastructure. These providers may process information according to their agreements with us and applicable law.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to: comply with applicable law, legal process, or lawful government requests; investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms; protect the rights, property, or safety of ROASTINGIFT, our customers, or others; complete a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Gift Links and Sharing
A completed roast may be made available through a private, token-protected gift link. Anyone who receives or obtains that link may be able to access the corresponding gift page. You are responsible for deciding who you share the link with and for sharing it appropriately.
We may record limited gift-page activity, such as access or engagement events, where reasonably necessary for delivery verification, customer support, security, service operation, and product improvement.
Support Communications
When you use our Contact Us form or otherwise communicate with customer support, we may retain your message and related information so that we can respond, maintain support history, resolve problems, and improve customer service. Where sufficient matching information is provided, we may associate a support request with the relevant ROASTINGIFT order.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
ROASTINGIFT uses technologies necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the website and related services. We may also use analytics or advertising technologies as the service evolves. Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice and choices before using non-essential technologies.
If we introduce or materially change analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy or consent controls to accurately describe those practices.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to: create and deliver purchased services; provide revisions and customer support; maintain order, payment, delivery, and support records; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations; resolve disputes; enforce our agreements.
Availability or expiration of a customer's private gift page does not necessarily mean that all associated order, accounting, security, or support information is immediately deleted. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
International Processing
ROASTINGIFT is operated from the United States and may use service providers located in the United States and other countries. If you access ROASTINGIFT from outside the United States, your information may therefore be processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those in your country. Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps intended to use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or loss. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights concerning your personal information. These rights may include the ability to request: access to personal information we hold about you; correction of inaccurate information; deletion of certain information; restriction of certain processing; objection to certain processing; a portable copy of certain information; withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, and other jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable law. Rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions. For example, we may need to retain certain records for accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, contractual, or legal-compliance purposes.
To make a privacy request, contact us at support@mail.roastingift.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
Children
ROASTINGIFT is not directed to children who are legally unable to enter into a binding purchase agreement or consent to the relevant processing in their jurisdiction. If you believe personal information about a child has been submitted to us improperly, please contact us so that we can review the request.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our service, technology, or legal obligations change. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
